A Quick Glance At: Fairpoint Convention's What We Did On Our Holidays LP

Artist: Fairport Convention
Album: What We Did On Our Holidays
Released Date: 1968

The band’s first album with Sandy Denny at the helm, the output here would give us a glimpse on why the band was considered the best British folk-rock band during the 60’s. Denny’s contribution was apparent right from the opening track, and the two cover they did on Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan’s works, though not spectacular, were solid, and blended well in the their original compositions, which were also brilliant.

Top songs are Fotheringay, No Man’s Land, Tale In Hard Time, and I’ll Keep It With Mine (Dylan cover).
