Club 8 coming here in the Philippines

Currently one of the hottest indie pop acts in the world, the Swedish band Club 8 will be coming here in Manila this May 13, 2010 at the SMX Convention Center (SM Mall of Asia) in Pasay and in Cebu on May 15 at the Cebu International Convention Center in Mandaue City, Cebu.

The duo is considered one of the pillars of the Sweden's pop scene, which include Peter Bjorn and John, Acid House Kings, Camera Obscura, Eggstone, and the Cardigans, among others. Their first album, Nouvelle, showed their twee-pop influence while the second album, Friend I Once Had, gave us a more-diverse and ear-candy sound that will be more prevalent in their succeeding albums. Their latest album, The People's Record, to be released next month this year, promises to be another remarkable indie-pop record.
